LAUNCHING 2026 · EARLY ACCESS OPEN

The city,
out loud

Guidebooks tell you what to see. Tellby tells you what you're looking at — out loud, while you're standing there. Then it hands you four more ways to find your way around a city.

Five ways in

One app, five different answers to "what should I do here?"

A · AUDIO GUIDES

Hear where
you're standing

Pick a city, pick a place, and start walking. GPS does the rest — the story for each corner plays when you reach it. Nothing to search, nothing to tap.

  • · 47 cities, around 9 stops inside each place
  • · English and Korean, narrated end to end
  • · Download once, listen with your data off
  • · Hear the same place again through architecture, history or the people who lived there
City list — New York with 236 guides, London with 289

B · CONTENT MAPS

Turn what you love
into a map

Start from a film, a series, an album, a novel, a game, a person you admire — and Tellby builds the map for you. Every location it was shot, written about or lived in, laid out as a route you can actually walk. The thing you're a fan of becomes the reason you're there.

Squid Game across Seoul. Sherlock across London. A K-pop video, stop by stop. Pick one and it's a day planned.

What locals are
into this week

Tellby reads the social chatter in each city and surfaces the places people are actually going right now — the wine bar with no menu and no phone number, not the one from the 2019 listicle. And if you'd rather not go alone, you can find someone to go with.

  • · Local hot — ranked by what's buzzing, filtered by time of day
  • · Meetups — start one or join one, see it on the map
  • · Friends — other travelers in the same city

D · CREATORS

Leave your voice
where you stood

Walk a route, record what you know, publish it. When someone else arrives at that corner, they hear you. It's the closest thing to being there to show them around.

  • · Record it yourself, or let AI narrate your script
  • · Price each map, guide or plan however you want
  • · Following is free — half of every sale goes to the creator

E · PLANS

Retrace someone
else's day

Build your own itinerary, or just take one someone already walked. When you have three days and no idea where to start, the route of a person who has been there beats a top-ten list.

  • · AI drafts a plan around your pace, your interests, the season
  • · Browse routes creators have published, city by city
  • · Join a real tour, or run one yourself

Questions people ask

When does it launch? +

iOS is in testing now and Android follows shortly after. Sign up and you'll hear from us before anyone else.

What does it cost? +

Browsing and free content cost nothing. Audio guides run on credits, charged per place. Early access comes with 200 credits — two full places, on the house.

What languages is the audio in? +

English and Korean. We narrate both properly rather than machine-translating into a dozen more — a guide that sounds off is worse than no guide.

Do I need data while I'm out? +

No. Audio you've downloaded stays on your phone, so it works with roaming off. Grab a place over hotel wifi and walk it the next morning.

Can anyone publish a guide? +

Yes. Record in your own voice or have AI read your script, set your own price, and keep half of what you earn.

What happens to my email? +

One launch email and the occasional note about early-access perks. No marketing blasts, and you can leave the list whenever you like.
